Noodle's Backpack

Today, Noodle, a dog from the Jacksonville Humane Society came to visit us with his human, Ms. Megan.

They shared with us several things. Some of the things discussed were the needs of pets, how to handle a stray dog approaching us and the proper way to pet someone else's dog.

In class, we have been exploring and discussing the needs of animals during Science Workshop.

Can you explain some of the needs of pets or
share one new thing that you learned from Noodle?

Author's Visit: Carmen Agra Deedy

Today, we were very fortunate to hear the stories of published author, Carmen Agra Deedy. She enchanted us with her personal story of the 'Peanut Man' - the Cuban Peanut Man from Havana, Cuba & the American Peanut Man from Decatur, Georgia. She was right. We all want the same thing in life... to belong.

What was your favorite part of her visit to our school?
